Mrs. Gloe’s 2nd grade class kicked off Dr. Seuss Week with a special visit from Mayor Gloria Hanson, who read "Oobleck" to the students, gifted the class a fun pair of socks, and shared exciting news about a new park coming to Fort Pierre with a grand opening planned for this summer. The students also enjoyed making their own Oobleck in class.

The Buffalo Legacy Campaign is officially underway! 🦬💜💛

This community-wide effort brings together the Stanley County School District, Booster Club, Buff Nation, and the Buffalo Foundation to invest in the future of our schools — and most importantly, our students.

Thanks to more than $10 million in recent improvements, we’ve built a strong foundation. Now, we’re raising $2.5 million for the next phase of critical updates that will improve daily learning environments across the district, including:

✔️ Preparing for air conditioning with new windows and doors

✔️ Improving ADA accessibility for all students

✔️ Refreshing and modernizing our school buildings

✔️ Strengthening our online presence and long-term support

And there’s exciting news…

First National Bank has launched a $275,000 matching challenge!

Every dollar donated will be matched — doubling your impact for our students.

This campaign is about pride, opportunity, and making sure Stanley County schools remain a place where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.

Join us in building the Buffalo Legacy. Your support today will echo for generations.
