Congratulations to Mr. Clayton Wahlstrom chosen October Elementary Staff Member of the Month! Mr. Wahlstrom always works hard and has the best interest of the students in mind. He strives to always improve his teaching techniques. The kids love P.E. with Mr. W. He has been a great team player and a great addition to our SC Staff.

Stanley County's Girls Volleyball team will travel to Winner Tuesday November 2 for the first round of Regional play. SC will take on Dupree in the first game starting at 6pm.

An assembly was held in Parkview Auditorium on Monday, October 11 to learn about Native American Day. The Stanley County Student Council was asked to participate in the Walk of Hope by creating signs with positive messages for the groups of community members who took part in the ceremony and walk on September 18.
SC Student Council Change War Raises Funds for Countryside Hospice.
The Stanley County Student Council led a change war during homecoming week. The staff member who had the most change in their bucket become a human sundae during the pep rally. Mr. Ryan Royer was the “chosen” one. Total monies collected were $290.60, with the Stanley County National Honor Society contributing another 209.40 for an even 500.00. For his good sportsmanship, Mr. Royer was able to donate the money to his charity of choice which was Countryside Hospice in Pierre. Region VII Honor Band will be held Monday, October 18 in Kadoka with Stanley County’s Band Director, Mrs. Tina England as the high school guest conductor.
