The Stanley County Elementary School recently conducted a screening for children who will be attending school this fall. The students had a photo opportunity on the “Future Buffalo” bench and had their vision and school readiness screened. Fort Pierre mayor, Gloria Hanson, provided a book for each of our newest Buffs. Mayor Hanson told the students that they will never be bored when they learn to read books! In conjunction with our K Screen, Baby Buffs also had the opportunity to be screened by the Birth to Three Coordinator. Future students earned a cookie, juice, and a summer work packet for their efforts on the exam. Thank you, parents, students, Lions Club, Birth to 3 Coordinator, and SC teachers/examiners for helping make our screening a great day. GO BUFFS!
