The Stanley County School District is scheduling screenings for children who are from Birth to Five (0-5) years of age. The screening is a preliminary step in the identification of children who may need special education or related services. The following areas may be screened: gross motor development, fine motor development, cognitive development, speech and language, and early childhood development. Screenings are scheduled as follows:
Stanley County School District is conducting a Kindergarten Readiness Screening for children who will be five on or before September 1, 2024. The screening will be held in the Stanley County Elementary School on March 7, 2024, from 8:30 to 2:30. Appointments can be made by calling (605) 223-7741 (Ext. 301)

Stanley County School District, in conjunction with the local Birth to Three program, conducts screenings for students ages Birth to 3 years of age who may need special education services. Please contact Rebecca Poelstra at 605-494-3604 to schedule a date and time for the screening. Rebecca will also be available to screen Birth to Three-year-old children on March 7, 2024 from 8:30-2:30 in conjunction with the kindergarten readiness screening at the Stanley County Elementary school.
