Jean Recycling to Continue

Over the last 3 years, the Stanley County Student Council has been involved in a project collecting jeans. The jeans are recycled and made into home insulation.  15,454 pieces of denim, weighing 20,301 pounds have been boxed into 513 boxes, with 6,800 jeans weighing 8,933 pounds.  This project was under the guidance of Mrs. Shirley Swanson, the outgoing student council advisor.  This will be a continuing student council project now under the direction of Ms. Allison Bender, the incoming student council advisor.
