  • SD high school graduates who obtain their postsecondary education in South Dakota for teaching, to remain in the state upon completion of their education, and to contribute to the state and its citizens by working in a critical need teaching area.

  • Youth who have at least 5 years of active membership in South Dakota 4-H

  • Current high school seniors, or are enrolled at South Dakota State University

  • Awarded to students interested in pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree and pursuing a degree in agriculture.

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher and are accepted to attend a 2- or 4-year college.

  • Stanley County Senior, 2.6 GPA, 3 letters of recommendation.

  • Preference in awarding this scholarship will be given to a student planning on attending a South Dakota or North Dakota college or university in the field of nursing.

  • Preference given to a female student pursuing a degree in Education from the Pierre/Ft. Pierre Area.

  • Applicant must be in the Pierre/Fort Pierre high school graduating class

  • Applicant’s current cumulative grade point average must be 2.5 (C+) or better on a scale of 4.0.

  • Parents need NOT be a member of the Moose Lodge.

  • Senior in Lyman or Stanley Co.-Enrolled in a vocational school within SD for the upcoming academic year.-2.0 GPA

  • Applicant must be an enrolled senior at a South Dakota High School.

  • Applicant must have maintained a 2.5 GPA or better over his/her high school career.

  • Applicant must be enrolling in an institution of higher learning with the intention of preparing for a career in a field related to the automobile industry.

  • Scholarships to those who have participated in USA Softball of South Dakota or has a parent or guardian who has participated in this program.

  • A SC Graduate in their junior or senior year of college, working towards a degree in education.

  • Be a DPFCU member with active accounts

  • Be a graduating high school senior.

  • Be planning to attend a 2 or a 4-year post-secondary, accredited undergraduate degree program or a technical/vocational school.

  • Pursuing a Dental Assisting degree at Lake Area Technical College

  • Intent to remain in South Dakota after graduating from Lake Area Technical College

  • Awards scholarships to immediate family of a current or former SD National Guard soldier & desire to further their education.

  • Applicants must be 19 years of age or younger.

  • You must be a graduating senior from an accredited high school during the year of application.

  • This scholarship may also be granted to a family member of a SD National Guard soldier who is physically challenged as determined by the American Disabilities Act passed on July 25, 1990.

  • Be a SD resident

  • Have a grandparent, parent, sibling, uncle, aunt, cousin that is a current or retired employee of SD DOT.

  • Have a current GPA of 3.0

  • The Monty Carter Scholarship Foundation will award a $2500 scholarship (each) to two seniors attending Stanley County High School.

  • All seniors graduating and attending college/technical school in the year awarded are encouraged to apply.

  • Applicant must be a child of a member of Mid-Dakota Rural Water System or a resident in one of Mid-Dakota’s participating communities.

  • Must be currently working, or intending to work, in a SDADA Member’s dealership.

  • Applying to or accepted by a program at any South Dakota Technical College or University in one of the following fields: Health, Business, Trade and Industry, Marketing, Agricultural Education, and Family & Consumer Science Education.

  • Eligibility is limited to studetns who are residents of Stanley County & attending a University or Tech School for an Agriculture related degree.

  • Any senior interested in becoming an engineer and attending either SDSU or South Dakota School of Mines and Technology may apply.

  • 3.0 GPA

  • Interest in Law Enforcement

  • The Grand Commandery Knights Templar of South Dakota will award several scholarships of $1,000 each year to South Dakota residents who plan to attend a state Technical College in South Dakota.

  • Successful candidates are US citizens who will demonstrate financial need and the capability to complete the vocational training program selected.

  • Scholarships will be granted for one year but may be applied for each year for a maximum of three years.

  •  Graduate from a South Dakota high school; 

  • Submit a 300 to 500-word essay detailing your personal story, interests and educational goals; 

  • Provide a copy of the acceptance letter to the post-secondary institution

  • Must be a graduating high school senior in 2023

  • Fall enrollment must be on a full-time basis

  • Applications must be fully completed online by April 15th, 2023

  • Must be a graduating senior from Riggs or Stanley County.

  • Must be attending a SD higher education institution.

  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Applicant must be a high school senior from the CHS Plainstrade area.

  • We encourage, but do not require the individual to be seeking a degree or certificate in agricultural studies.

  • Parent or guardian must be a current customer of CHS River Plains.

  • High school seniors attending a South Dakota High School who have been accepted into a business/finance program at an accredited, post-secondary institution in South Dakota and have a GPA of 3.5 or greater.

  • Students who plan to attend an accredited diesel tech program.
