Homecoming week for the Stanley County Buffaloes is September 20-24 and the 2021 theme is “Board Games”.

Monday, September 20:  Monday - “Monopoly Monday” (dress for success!)  Coronation - 7:00 p.m., HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL GYM, due to potential rain.  Burning of the letters will tentatively take place after coronation with Booster Club serving lemonade and cookies. 

Tuesday, September 21:  Tuesday - “Twister Tuesday” (dress in whacky combinations).  Tuesday evening powder puff game – 6:45 p.m. – Ole Williamson Field.

Wednesday, September 22:  Wednesday - “Game of Life” (dress as one of the stages of life: baby, toddler, young child, high school, adult, elder).  Varsity Cross Country Meet – Faulkton at 1:00 p.m.

Thursday, September 23:  Thursday - “Candyland” (dress as a class in the following colors:  JK and 6th black, K and 7th orange, 1st and 8th purple, 2nd and 9th green, 3rd and 10th yellow, 4th and 11th red, 5th and 12th blue).  Volleyball – 4:30 p.m. - Middle School, JV and Varsity Volleyball game vs. Potter County.

Friday, September 24:  Friday – “School Spirit” (dress in purple and gold).  Pep rally begins in Parkview Auditorium at 1:25 p.m. followed by the parade at 2:30 p.m.  If organizations are interested in being part of the parade, please contact Shirley Swanson at Shirley.Swanson@k12.sd.us 

For the parade lineup:  Floats are to enter the line up by entering on seventh Ave from the highway, turn right on Missouri, and then proceeding to 5th St.  Get in line wherever you can find a spot after the elementary.  No floats are to come down 5th or 6th  to line up, as it is very congested, and we do not want any students hurt. 

 

At 5:30:  As a benefit for Stanley County Wrestling, the Silver Spur, Dakotamart, and Fort Pierre Livestock will be selling Buff Dog, Chips, and Soda for $5.00 a plate.  The football game begins at 7:00 p.m. vs White River.
