The State Oral Interp Festival, along with the season’s contests were held virtually.  Sophomores Hope Smedley and Mia Fernandez said they found the virtual experience uncomfortable, but proud of how they worked through the season and found success.   Fernandez earned the state’s highest speaking prize in the Serious Interpretation Category, performing the piece “The Prairie” by Walter J. Mullenberg.  Smedley competed in the Humorous Interpretation Category, performing the piece “How to Speak Child Fluently” by Erma Bombeck.  Pictured left to right:  Assistant Coach Ken Pickering, Mia Fernandez, Head Coach Bryan Bonhorst and Hope Smedley.
