Students recently had the opportunity to learn about a unique career path during a special assembly featuring Dr. Amanda Bachman from the SDSU Extension Office. Dr. Bachman, an urban entomology specialist, brought along some of the insects she works with, giving students a firsthand look at the important field of research conducted in agriculture and natural resources.
During her presentation, she shared her education, and discussed the work she does in her career, and highlighted the opportunities available within agricultural studies and scientific research. Students gained insight into a profession they may not have previously considered and learned about the different paths that can lead to a rewarding career in the field.
