Elementary students from Fort Pierre and Cheyenne schools recently welcomed local firefighters for a special visit focused on fire safety awareness. Firefighters taught students important safety tips, including how to prevent fires, what to do if a fire occurs, and the importance of having a family escape plan. Students enjoyed learning about firefighting equipment and asking questions about the firefighters' work. The visit provided valuable lessons while helping students feel more confident and prepared to stay safe in an emergency.
