biking and walking safety with DOT

Stanley County students recently received an important safety reminder thanks to the South Dakota Department of Transportation. The SD DOT provided students with safety lights and educational information focused on safe biking and walking practices.

The safety lights will help students be more visible to drivers, especially during early morning and evening hours. Along with the lights, students learned valuable pedestrian and bicycle safety tips, including the importance of staying alert, following traffic laws, and making themselves visible when traveling near roadways.

Through the South Dakota Department of Transportation's commitment and support, our students are better equipped to stay safe while walking and biking in our community.
