Carson Bourne was recognized for his artistic achievement, earning third place in the local VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest sponsored by VFW Post #2038 Auxiliary. His work stood out among this year’s entries for its creativity and strong patriotic message.
Each year, more than 4,000 high school students nationwide participate in this contest, which encourages students in grades 9–12 to express patriotism through original two-dimensional artwork.
