Four high school students received scholarships for completing the Teens As Teachers program through the South Dakota Youth Foundation, Inc.
The scholarship recipients are Kourtney Hughes, Aspen Lenz, Morgan Luce, and Peyton Schilling.
As Teen Teachers, these students taught Character Counts lessons to local elementary students. They attended training last fall focused on curriculum development, lesson planning, and effective strategies for working with younger students.
In their roles as mentors and teachers, they helped elementary students develop positive skills and habits that promote strong character.
