Mayor Gloria Hanson has officially proclaimed May 4–8, 2026 as Teacher Appreciation Week in Fort Pierre, honoring the dedication and impact of our educators. Most of all, we thank our teachers, who make education happen every day of the school year—they truly are the backbone of SC.
