Mrs. Maher’s 4th and 5th grade science students celebrated Earth Day April 22 with hands‑on learning and community service activities.
South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks staff members Shandi Chrysler and Doug Boes visited our school to present their Go Fourth program, which encourages students to explore and enjoy the many outdoor recreation opportunities available in South Dakota’s state parks.
As part of the day’s activities, one fifth‑grade class kicked off a cleanup at Fischer Lilly Park, while other classes packaged seeds collected from the Little Buffs Research Garden. The seeds will be shared to promote the creation of more pollinator gardens throughout our community.
