Mrs. Gloe's 2nd grade class has been learning about engineering. Each group of three students was given the same materials: tape and 15 craft sticks to build a bridge between two desks that were 1 foot apart. They had to see how many linking cubes they could fit in a cup without the bridge breaking or the cup tipping.
The students came up with many creative ideas! The winning bridge held over 200 cubes (after the cup was full, they laid them in groups of ten across the bridge). Learning is so much fun in Second Grade!
