On Friday, December 12, Stanley County High School held an assembly recognizing five students who received the Capital Journal Fine Arts Award for their talent, dedication, and leadership.  These students showcased their talents during the assembly. 

Savannah Swisher – nominated for her artistic and writing talents, Savannah demonstrates dedication to refining her work and applying new skills. Her thoughtful letter for the Veteran’s Day program showcased her intentional and impactful writing skills. 

Trevor Caldwell – nominated for his theater skills.  He is widely admired for his kindness and leadership, Trevor shines both in theater and athletics. His versatility across football, basketball, track, and baseball, combined with his dependable presence in theater, makes him a cornerstone of the Stanley County community.

Haden Ford’s nomination was for his exceptional musical talent, leadership, and dedication. Haden has shown strong character by assisting fellow students, balancing school with a part-time job, and expanding his fine arts involvement through Oral Interp. His talent, work ethic, and responsibility make him a deserving recipient of this honor.

Ryder Roseland – nominated as a seasoned theater performer, Ryder has earned multiple Outstanding Actor Awards at regional and state competitions. His commitment extends beyond the stage as a supportive peer and dedicated athlete in football and track.

Breezy Bergeson – nominated as a rising star in oral interpretation, Breezy captivates audiences with her smooth and natural poetry delivery. Her hard work has already earned her multiple awards in her first season, promising a bright future ahead.
