Students in Mr. Cornelison’s science classes delved into the forces of nature. Each student(s) has chosen one of three powerful phenomena—earthquakes, tsunamis, or volcanoes—to research and present.
The assignment challenges students not only to study the science behind these events but also to design a hands‑on experiment that demonstrates their knowledge. The students showcased their projects in class, turning complex concepts into creative demonstrations that help classmates visualize how these natural events occur.
From shake tables that model seismic waves, to water tanks simulating tsunamis, to chemical reactions mimicking volcanic eruptions, the experiments are designed to be both educational and memorable. The goal is to connect textbook learning with real‑world science, sparking curiosity and deeper understanding.
