Stanley County Schools has teamed up with local ranchers and a local meat processor to start the Beef to School program.  The Beef to School program was developed through the contributions of our local ranchers and partnership with our local meat processor Maier Meats.

Luke and Sawyer Dowling along with several local ranchers have offered to help kickstart the Beef to School program.  Developed by donations from local ranchers in conjunction with the partnership of Maier Meats and the Stanley County Food Service Program, local beef has been served to our Stanley County Students.  Beef & cheddar sandwiches, beef stew, and beef stroganoff were part of the initial menus.

The local beef school menus will continue to expand into more selections of local beef meals.  The continuation of the program cannot be accomplished without the support of local rancher donations along with other community contributions.

If interested in donating beef, please call Maier Meats at (605)-222-8804 to make an appointment to donate.  If interested in contributing to the program by helping supplement costs, please contact the Stanley County School Business Office at (605)-223-7741.
