Ms. Volmer’s HOSA, (Health Occupations Students of America) members have an opportunity to compete in over 100 events at the State Leadership Conference to be held March 30-31 in Sioux Falls. Categories to choose from include health professions, leadership, teamwork, emergency preparedness, health science, and health care team. Morgan Hoffman competed in Dental Science and qualified for round 2. Keira Briggs competed in Pharmacy Science, Caycee Knight competed in Veterinary Science and Kaysen Magee competed in Certified Nursing Assistant. We also had 5 groups competing in Health Career Display. This competitive event consists of 2 rounds and each team consists of 2 people. Round One is the judging of the Health Display Board. The top-scoring teams will advance to Round Two for the presentation. The teams of Morgan Hoffman and Keira Briggs, Dalyn Heezen and Luna Garcia, and Cadence Hand and Tatum Scott all qualified for round 2. Congratulations and good luck to these members.
