We here at
Stanley
County are very proud of our tradition
of excellence.
Each year the tradition is kept alive throughout the
school year, in Football, Boys' and Girls' Basketball, Gymnastics,
Volleyball, Wrestling, Cross Country, Track, and Golf.
A majority of students participate in athletics or other activities.
Each sport is funded by profits from their games or
meets, the Booster Club, or by their own hard work.
We wish all of our athletes good luck this year and
in the future!

Once again, Stanley County
had seven of their extra-curricular groups qualify for academic achievement
awards for the winter activity season. Initiated in the 1996-1997 school
year and sponsored by the SDHSAA,
the program recognizes students for their academic
excellence. These awards are for varsity level teams in sports and
fine arts activities. To qualify, the cumulative grade point
ave. of the group must be a minimum of 3.0. Qualifying for the honor
were One-Act Play, Vocal Solo Ensemble Group, Band Solo Ensemble
Group, Boys Basketball Cheerleaders, Wrestling,
Gymnastics, and Girls Basketball. Congratulations to our
hard-working extra-curricular groups! |
